Higher Education

Charge

This group was established by ASOF’s Assessment Committee and is charged with evaluating the challenges and opportunities in Armenia's higher education system and develop suggestions for reforms where needed:

- Determine the state of the curriculum for bachelor degrees in several sample fields, and compare them with similar programs in the U.S., the West, and Asia.

- Determine the current funding mechanisms used in the university system.

- Evaluate the challenge of having Faculty at university engage in both research and teaching.

In 2023, it produced a report that consolidates existing studies from the government, united nations, the world bank, and other NGOs.
