The ASOF Quarterly is an electronic periodical with circulation within ASOF. Its primary goal is to provide a forum for informed scholarly exchange among ASOF members and friends of ASOF on a range of topics, including new research findings, supporting ASOF’s mission: “To help raise Armenia’s educational and research institutions to world-class levels, and to network them globally. To contribute to the development of a modern, sophisticated, and internationally networked civil society in Armenia.”
All submissions must be in English. All articles should be written in non-technical language accessible to an informed but non-specialist audience. An article should be within a range of 1500 - 2000 words and should follow the general style and format of a professional scholarly contribution, including proper references. A wide spectrum of topics and views are entertained and encouraged. Articles with multiple authors are allowed. Where needed the Editorial Board retains the right to introduce minor editorial changes to submitted articles, preserving original meaning. Articles that do not conform to the technical guidelines will not be considered, as will the articles containing any inflammatory or unprofessional language.
The review process will be double blind. As a rule, reviewers will be invited from peer-members of ASOF with expertise in the topic of the article. As a policy, to ensure a quick review and publication cycle, except in extenuating circumstances, only one revision of a submitted manuscript will be considered.
The authors maintain ownership of their work and, at any point, can choose to remove the article from ASOF distribution and publish it anywhere else. In certain instances, the Editorial Board may be in a position to assist the author(s) in publishing their article beyond the ASOF ecosystem.
The Editorial Board of The ASOF Quarterly invites submission of to the new ASOF electronic publication.
The theme of the first issue of The ASOF Quarterly is:
Quo Vadis, Armenia? Where is Armenia today in relevant disciplines of strategic importance and what lies ahead?
For this inaugural issue of The ASOF Quarterly, we ask potential contributors to focus on the questions of scholarly engagement in Armenia within the author’s specialist field. We ask that such essays constructively and objectively reflect on the current situation in Armenia’s scientific and educational community and discuss the future of their field in the next decade or so, including reflections on the author’s engagement experience, if any, in Armenia.
Submission deadline May 12, 2025.

This first issue of the Quarterly is planned to be released by the end of June 2025. Panel discussions during the 2025 ASOF conference in Dilijan will be informed partly by the content of the published articles.
