Charter and membership of the new Council on Armenian Cultural Heritage (ArCH)

February 29, 2024

ASOF announces the establishment of the Council on Armenian Cultural Heritage (ArCH).

The first Council met on February 15, 2024 and ratified -- through electronic voting --  the charter of ArCH. The charter and the list of Council members can be found in the PDF document attached to this post. From this document, the mission of ArCH reads:

ArCH: Armenian Cultural Heritage is dedicated to the sustainable cultural development and protection of the cultural legacy of Armenians, both within Armenia and globally. In promoting knowledge, ArCH aims to unite and enhance the efforts of all stakeholders, as a crucial strategy for the conservation and promotion of Armenia's endangered cultural treasures and contemporary artistic endeavors – while highlighting the importance of awareness and academic collaboration in the face of global challenges.

The first slate of proposals will be reviewed in April as ArCH's operations kick off for 2024. No public call for proposals will be issued for 2024 as ArCH already has a slate of project proposals presented to ASOF over the past six months.
