ASOF is collaborating with EduArmenia and Teach for Armenia for launching an innovative program led by ASOF Fellow Vahagn Vardanyan. The initiative has been submitted to the UNDP for funding, and would be implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports. It introduces a government program for incentivizing the relocation of teachers to the 10 regions outside Yerevan, targeting at first teachers who are refugees from Artsakh. The program is meant to help raise the quality of education in the regions, address chronic teacher shortages, while at the same time help teachers from Artsakh settle in communities in Armenia and receive financial security. Check out the document attached to this post to view the application that was submitted.
