I'd like to propose a new structure within ASOF's organization, which would help strengthen ASOF's position a lead backbone research and academic organization in Armenia and the diaspora.
ASOF can serve as an informal job market exchange for the fellows and maybe junior members (suppose we have such tier in the future).
There are three initial approaches:
- The simplest: ASOF develops an online interface for fellows to post job announcements. This would be very similar to nominations or bulletin updates but a) open to all ASOF and b) accumulate in a specific folder/place on the web
- Next stage: ASOF fellows participating/organizing workshops for a) help with CV, b) teaching/etc portfolios; c) recommendation letters; and most critical d) mock interviews for different levels of academic / corporate / public / multilateral employment
- Suppose we have something like “junior” or affiliated or non-resident etc fellows in the future – current fellows can then provide similar assistance as in #2 to others. Other ideas for branching this out are possible as well.
